Enjoying Sunny LA

I arrived in LA yesterday at noon and went to lunch outside. It had been rainy but the sun came out when I arrived (I’m just sayin’), and, though not reaching 70 degrees, it feels just as you’d want it to when visiting LA from NYC in late winter: sunny, warm and fragrant. I’m staying with friends in Santa Monica a block from the ocean and there’s a terrace with a water view where I can work and do radio interviews by phone.

My days have been filled with media interviews, and are also spent recovering from the whirlwind in DC that culminated with the Rachel Maddow Show, and preparing for the whirlwind that will be flying into NYC for 24 hours Monday to go on the Daily Show. I’m the next guest on the Daily Show! Tonight I had my first bookstore appearance at Book Soup on Sunset Blvd. I’ve also done several “phoners” for local and satellite radio in LA, went to the chic offices of the Advocate for a sit-down, and will continue doing radio on Friday, and end the week with a “meet the author” cocktail party in West Hollywood.
